  9. RFC 1294

  11. The revised version of RFC 1294, ``Multi-protocol over Frame Relay'',
  12. was discussed and approved with the following further changes:
  13.

  15.    o Specification of padding of encapsulated protocols to a two byte
  16.      address boundary assuming either two or four octet DLCI's.
  17.  
  18.    o Discussion of Remote Bridging and clarification of Bridge PDU
  19.      (BPDU) encapsulation.
  20.  
  21.    o Inclusion of connection-oriented protocols in an appendix.

  24. After review of the document via email, the Group agreed to submit this
  25. draft to the IESG as a Draft Standard.

  27. RFC 1356
  28.  
  29. The Group discussed RFC 1356 on Multi=protocol over X.25 and agreed to
  30. gather documentation of interoperable implementations and then to submit
  31. the RFC to the IESG to advance the standard to Draft Standard status.

  33. ``Directed ARP''
  34.  
  35. The ``Directed ARP'' Internet-Draft was released by the Working Group at
  36. the previous IETF meeting for approval as an RFC on the standards track.
  37. The group reconsidered and revised the request to approval as an
  38. Experimental RFC.

  40. IP over Circuit ISDN
  41.  
  42. Work on IP over Circuit ISDN progressed wit the following decisions:

  45.    o X.25 was approved as an additional encapsulation protocol.
  46.    o ``Multi-link Transport'', in which multiple B channels may be
  47.      aggregated into single higher bandwidth channel, was approved as a
  48.      feature.  The Group agreed to work with the PPP Extensions Working
  49.      Group (PPPEXT) on this topic.

  52. Parameter Negotiation
  53.  
  54. The Group agreed to use the existing PPP specification for negotiation
  55. through SNAP encapsulation.

  63. The PPPEXT Working Group agreed to take on the task of supporting a
  64. ``compound packet'' format, in which multiple PPP control packets are
  65. transmitted in a single data-link layer protocol.

  69. The Group agreed to the releases of an informational RFC describing the
  70. IEEE802.6i draft standard on the ssupport of remote bridging over SMDS.
